Winners of President’s Volunteer Service Award announced

The Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism (CSLV) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020-21 President’s Volunteer Service Award:

MBA student Michael Garcia (2018) has won his seventh consecutive award. He has won an award each year from 2014-2015 through 2020-2021. Garcia has won six bronze medals and one gold medal and has completed 909 community service hours as an OLLU student. He is scheduled to graduate in December 2022.

Doctoral student Lydia Hamner (MS 2019) has won her third award. She won her first in 2017-2018, her second in 2019-2020 and her third in 2020-2021. She has completed 491.75 community service hours as an OLLU graduate student and has a master’s in Organizational Leadership. Hamner is scheduled to graduate in December 2022 with a PhD in Leadership Studies. 

Accounting major Jesus Rodriguez has won his second award for the school years 2019-2021. He has completed 395.50 hours of community service as an undergraduate at OLLU. Rodriguez is scheduled to graduate in May 2022 with a bachelor’s in accounting.
