OLLU students, professors shine at Sigma Zeta National Convention

Four OLLU students and two professors distinguished themselves at the 2022 virtual Sigma Zeta National Convention in Moorehead, Minnesota this past weekend.

Emma Collins, Rachel Dziuba, Raul Gutierrez and Getsemani Arteaga made strong presentations of their research. Collins received a cash award for delivering one of the top three presentations at the convention.

Mason Kulbaba, PhD, Assistant Professor of Biology, was chosen President-elect of the Sigma Zeta National Science & Mathematics Honor Society. At the convention, Dr. Kulbaba served as an oral presentation judge with Jim Hall, PhD, Professor of Biology. 

Dr. Kulbaba also served as research mentor for Collins and Arteaga and served as faculty chair of the Resolutions Committee.
