OLLU community taking a look into the past with time capsule opening
On Oct. 31, the OLLU community will open a time capsule that was buried 27 years ago. The opening will take place at 12:30 p.m. in front of Main Building, where the time capsule is buried.
The capsule was buried on Oct. 31, 1986 to celebrate OLLU’s 75th anniversary. Although the plan was to open the capsule on OLLU’s 100th anniversary, which was in 2011, it is believed that human error led to a plaque being labeled with the 2013 date.
Faculty, staff, students and alumni will be allowed to include materials in the new time capsule that has been purchased.
