Alliance Scholarship deadline is Wednesday

The Alliance is offering two $500 scholarships for the spring 2015 semester. Criteria for the scholarship include the following:

  • Must be enrolled or accepted at OLLU
  • Do not have to identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer/questioning, (LGBTQ) to apply, but must be committed to serving the LGBTQ community as well as intersecting communities

The deadline to apply for the Alliance Scholarship is Wednesday by 5 p.m.

To request an application, email the Alliance at alliance@ollusa.edu. The application is also located on the Alliance bulletin board in the Worden School of Social Service.

Two CISS students win scholarships

Michael (Mike) Clark and Michael Wingle, undergraduate Computer Information Systems and Security (CISS) majors, were selected to receive scholarships from the Alamo chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).  Alamo AFCEA’s scholarships and grants committee allocated $10,000 toward scholarships for OLLU CISS students this year. The scholarships were awarded through a competitive process.

Students invited to a pancake breakfast to raise money for scholarships

The OLLU Alumni Office is hosting a student pancake breakfast on Oct. 22 from 7:30-9:30 a.m.
at the Elliott House. The breakfast will raise money for student scholarships. The menu includes pancakes, juice, and coffee.

There is a $2 minimum donation to attend. All proceeds will go to The Lake Fund.

Students invited to dining etiquette workshop

Students are invited to a free dining etiquette workshop, Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Providence Hall, West Social Room. Students who wish to attend should register using ConnectOLLU by Tuesday.
