President’s Convocation and lunch set for Aug. 9 

The President’s Convocation for faculty and staff will take place Aug. 9 at 10:30 a.m. in Thiry Auditorium. It will be followed by a lunch in Chapel Auditorium. 

Convocation marks the official opening of the 2022-2023 academic year. The newly updated Mission, Vision and Value statements will be introduced during the event. President Abel A. Chávez will share his vision for carrying the university Mission into the future. 

The Convocation Luncheon will take place in Chapel Auditorium immediately following the presentations in Thiry. To assist with the lunch order, faculty and staff are asked to RSVP no later than Thursday, Aug. 4 at this link: https://forms.office.com/r/gWnvAxW636

Staff invited to participate in review of Mission and Vision statements

The Mission and Vision statements of the university are currently being reviewed, and members of the OLLU staff are being sought for their input. Staff are invited to join one of two focus group sessions to share their thoughts and suggestions. (Faculty focus group sessions will be scheduled on a separate date)
