OLLU will host the South Texas Boys’ Soccer College ID Camp on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, from 1-5 p.m. The camp is open for current juniors and seniors in high school for fall 2015. The ID Camp will have registration capped at 60 participants, and campers will be trained in groups of 15. Universities that will join OLLU at the camp will be NAIA University of Houston at Victoria, NCAA DII St. Mary’s University, NCAA DIII Texas Lutheran University and NCAA DIII Schreiner University. You Are Invited: A Special Tribute to President Slater
As the Presidential term of Sister Jane Ann Slater nears its completion, the Board of Trustees of Our Lady of the Lake University is hosting a special event in three weeks recognizing the leadership she has provided since spring of 2013.
You are invited to make this tribute a lasting one.
On Tuesday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m., a reception and dinner will be held at the Omni Colonnade San Antonio Hotel. The net proceeds of individual seat sales and table sponsorships from this event will establish a permanent endowment in President Slater’s honor.
In perpetuity, a portion of the earnings from the endowment will support student scholarships and an annual service award for faculty and staff members.

Campus Recreation summer hours
Summer hours for Campus Recreation exercise facilities in the University Wellness and Activities Center are as follows:
- Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. (Closed Friday, July 3)
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
The pool in the International Folk Culture Center building is available by request.

Deadline to apply for summer graduation is June 5
Students who plan to graduate at the end of the summer semester must apply for graduation by Friday, June 5, with the Registrar’s Office. Apply online through WebAdvisor or ask a Registrar’s Office Representative for an application.
Note: All academic requirements must be successfully completed in order for the degree to be conferred. Students anticipating to graduate summer 2015 may participate in the fall commencement ceremony, which will take place in December.
Staff members participate in Corporate Cup over the weekend
OLLU staff members competed in the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup 2015, presented by HEB. The celebration of fitness and healthy living featured many businesses and organizations from the city. Staff participated in a variety of events including the 5k Run, 3v3 Basketball Tournament, Dodgeball, Golf Chipping, Corn Toss, Sack Race and many more.
OLLU receives Magic Maker Award

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas recognized OLLU with its Magic Maker Award.
OLLU has been participating in the Inspire U Workplace Program since 2013. The program exposes youth to a professional work environment, with a variety of careers, as well as providing an opportunity for students to have a one-to-one mentor. OLLU employees meet with their Little Brother or Little Sister once per month during their lunch hour. The students are bused from Lanier High School to OLLU and meet with their Big Brother or Big Sister for monthly mentoring, lunch, games, and friendly discussion. Current OLLU Bigs are: Sulema Cabrera, Lizette Yanes-Lew, Agatha Calica, Raquel Moncado, Cristal Lopez, Ana Flores, Elizabeth Mancha, Amy Eickhoff, Marta Noyola, Roxanna Chavez, and Jennifer Bendele.

Jack Hank named Red River Conference Athletic Director of the Year
For the second time in three years, Jack Hank of Our Lady of the Lake University has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Athletic Director of the Year, earning the distinction this time for the 2014-2015 academic year. Hank was selected in a vote of his peers with all RRAC athletic directors voting. Read more online.
OLLU to hold Ryan Wall Basketball Camp
OLLU will hold the 2015 Ryan Wall Basketball Camp from July 27-31 in Mabee Gymnasium. The camp is designed for boys and girls in grades 4-12.
The camp will be directed by OLLU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ryan Wall and is designed to develop individual skill through a variety of basketball-specific drills as well as 5 v 5 games. Read more online.
Softball’s Jessele Perez named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced last Wednesday that Our Lady of the Lake University’s Jessele Perez and 401 other softball student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes.
This is Perez’s first time receiving this award. Previously she had received conference scholar athlete honors and the NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete award. Read more online.
