CMASR to host virtual event ‘The March to Selma’
On Tuesday, at 12:30 p. m., the Center for Mexican American Studies and Research (CMASR) will host a virtual event, “March to Selma and the Movement for Racial Justice.”
The one-hour, virtual event is free and will feature Jonathan Butler, attorney and equity manager for the City of San Antonio. Butler will discuss the significance of the March to Selma in 1965 and the continued struggle for equity and racial justice today.

A native of Atlanta, Ga., Butler has more than 20 years of experience cultivating and strengthening relationships with diverse constituencies. In his role with the city, he develops and promotes strategies to increase equitable outcomes.
