Staff vacation leave ‘Use It or Lose It’ date is Dec. 31

Staff Employees are reminded that there is a one-year, carry-over limit on accrued vacation time. The “use-it-or-lose-it” date is Dec. 31, 2024.

Employees cannot carry over beyond this date more than the number of annual vacation days for which they are currently eligible. If work or medical conditions prohibit the employee from taking their accrued vacation by Dec. 31, the chief administrator of that division can request an extension of one additional year. The chief administrator and the employee must make every effort to schedule and use the accrued vacation in the coming year as additional extensions will not be permitted.

Deadline approaching for staff/administrators benefits open enrollment

Staff and administrators have until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. to start, change or end benefits. No changes will be accepted after the deadline

All eligible employees making changes must enroll online in order to change benefits. Current benefits will carry over. The exception is the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), which require enrollment EACH year.

All full-time employees will be able to complete enrollment through Saints Connect/Employee Self-Service/Benefits.

OLLU attendance verification process

Students must attend/participate in class to avoid being dropped from courses

OLLU is continuing its attendance verification/participation process this semester. Students must attend/participate in each course they are taking. Participation can take many forms, for example, posting to a discussion board, submitting a response paper or taking a quiz. Check with your instructor if you are not sure that your participation is clear. This includes all remote and online courses. Students who do not attend/participate in class by the deadline will be dropped from the course.

Students should contact their professors if they are having any issues attending and/or participating in class.

  • San Antonio Traditional Session Students – Jan. 23, 2023
  • Fast Track A, Weekend I and National Online Session Students – Jan. 22, 2023
  • Weekend II Session Students – Jan. 28, 2023
  • Fast Track B Session Students – March 18, 2023

This process has been developed to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations dealing with financial aid and to prevent students from incurring any unnecessary debt.

Deadline to submit projects to Marketing and Communications for fall semester is Friday

To ensure all projects for the end of the semester are completed in a timely manner, the last day to submit project requests to the Marketing and Communications Office is Friday, Dec. 2. This includes ecards, evites, event registration forms, programs, flyers and any other print or digital items.
